You should regularly inspect your filters. ResMed advise that your filters are change every six months, but if your environment is particularly humid or dusty, the filter won’t last as long. The filters are disposable and should not be washed and reused.
You should never use a CPAP machine without filters. The air in your home is not filtered and the filters are designed to remove large particles and contaminants from the air before it is passed into your airway. Not using filters can potentially reduce the life of your CPAP machine.
