Here are profiles of some of the experts who report on our sleep tests and contribute to the extensive information and support provided on this site and in our results letters.

icon cross Jay Gadher

Jay is an experienced Respiratory & Sleep Clinical Scientist. His previous clinical experience includes working at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, where he completed his BSc in Healthcare Science. This allowed him to gain expertise in scoring home and laboratory sleep studies.


Jay has more recently worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham where he completed his MSc in Clinical Science, specializing in Respiratory and Sleep Science.
Jay has now taken on the role of our in-house Clinical Services Manager, responsible for delivering expert assessments of our In-Home Sleep Tests and overseeing the clinical team.

Lateisha King Sleep Technician | Intus Healthcare

Lateisha is one of our experienced sleep technicians responsible for delivering our sleep study reporting. Her previous experience includes working as a Medical Sleep Technician within the Sleep Disorders Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. This allowed Lateisha to gain both inpatient and outpatient care.

The experience has also facilitated important clinical knowledge and allowed her to accumulate an extensive understanding of a large range of clinical disorders, including sleep-related breathing disorders. Lateisha has gained expertise in diagnostic sleep investigations, scoring, CPAP support and therapy management from this role.

icon cross Dr Swapna Mandal BSc, MBBS, FRCP (UK) PhD

Swapna sleep technicianDr Mandal is the Lead Consultant Physician in Sleep and Ventilation at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS sleep services in the capital. She is also the clinical lead for lung function services across the trust and has introduced innovative diagnostic pathways.

She continues her pursuit of academic interests in sleep and ventilation medicine and is supervising several PhD students as well as actively improving patient care through quality improvement projects. She has spent over four years pursuing research in this field at a renowned sleep and ventilation centre, particularly in individuals with obesity and sleep-disordered breathing.

Dr Mandal has been providing her professional reports for Intus Healthcare’s In-Home Sleep Test Service since 2017. As well as providing accurate, qualified reports, her experience in leading an NHS sleep centre allows her to help us ensure that every aspect of the service we provide is at the highest possible standard.

The WatchPat device used for our in-home service is also used by Dr Mandal’s Royal Free London sleep clinic.

Francisco sleep technician

Francisco has over 20 years of experience working as a Respiratory Physiologist, and since 2011 he has been the lead Respiratory & Sleep Physiologist of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust at St Richard’s Hospital.

He is registered with the UK Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists and a member of the Association for Respiratory Technology & Physiology. And over the last decade, he has regularly attended the yearly conferences organised by the British Sleep Society, other sleep meetings and international conferences in order to continue his professional development.

Over his years working with sleep, he has accumulated extensive experience reporting thousands of studies for private practices and the NHS.

Francisco has recently joined Intus Healthcare to share his knowledge with the team and provide a professional service reporting our sleep studies.

Carly sleep technician

Carly started her career in Respiratory and Sleep Physiology in 2007; she completed a degree in Clinical Physiology (Respiratory & Sleep), passed the ARTP Part 1 & Part 2 and is registered with the RCCP and AHS.

Carly has worked in several large Respiratory and Sleep departments, including the Royal Brompton and Queen Victoria Hospital. She has clinical experience in all aspects of Sleep, including Polysomnography and Non-Invasive Ventilation, as well as Lung Function Testing.

Carly is also RPSGT qualified and graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Sleep Medicine.
