Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle CPAP Machine with Humidifier
One of the key features of this CPAP device is its built-in humidifier, which adds moisture to the air delivered by the machine. This makes the air warmer and more comfortable to breathe, while also reducing the likelihood of waking up with a dry mouth or irritated nasal passages.
The water chamber on the device is easy to access with a simple push-button release. Work together with its heated tube, it brings CPAP users ultimate comfort during CPAP therapy.
The Arthritis Society awarded this device an “Ease of Use” badge, making it the first CPAP machine to receive such recognition.
What are the key features?
Easy-Access Chamber
The SleepStyle water chamber has an easy push-button for removal, cleaning, and refilling. Its sealed design helps minimise water leakage. Keeping your CPAP machine clean and hygienic is an essential part of successful treatment.
The water chamber has a maximum volume of 380 ml, which is enough to last through the night. Each morning, you should empty any excess water left in the water chamber.
Large, responsive buttons
The layout and function of the buttons work in harmony with the menu to allow quick navigation and ease of use. You just need to push the “Start” button.
Quiet, Integrated Design
The machine integrates the humidifier water chamber and power supply. This reduces the device’s footprint on your bedside table.

Fisher & Paykel created a simple menu based on user feedback, making it one of the most intuitive machines.
Built-in Bluetooth and Modem Connectivity
With built-in Bluetooth, you can easily connect the device to the SleepStyle App on your smartphone for instant access to your therapy data. The device also features a built-in modem that automatically transmits your sleep data to your healthcare provider or GP, helping to keep your therapy on track if your treatment is under remote monitoring.
The Mobile App
The Bluetooth technology communicates with your device to upload your sleep data automatically for you to access.

ThermoSmart Breathing Tube
The device will arrive with the ThermoSmart Breathing Tube. The tubing features AirSpiral technology designed to minimise condensation. The machine’s algorithm delivers a consistently warm and comfortable experience.
SensAwake™
SensAwake provides a responsive ramp feature throughout the night. This works when the machine senses that the user is waking up. The machine then automatically reduces the air pressure to a comfortable level. This helps ease the return to sleep and ensures effective treatment continues.
Exhalation Pressure Relief (EPR)
Expiratory relief works by temporarily reducing the pressure delivered by the CPAP machine during exhalation. This can make it easier for the user to breathe out and increase comfort and compliance with CPAP therapy.

How do you adjust the pressure on a Fisher Paykel CPAP SleepStyle?
We offer fixed pressure and automatic versions of the SleepStyle CPAP machine; both use a built-in humidifier.
Your healthcare provider will recommend which machine suits you, and you should not change your pressure settings yourself. The machine features a ramp setting, which gradually adjusts the pressure until you fall asleep.
Within the settings of your SleepStyle, you can change the humidity to your preferred comfort setting.
What is the ramp feature on F&P SleepStyle?
The Ramp feature is a comfort setting designed to make it easier for users to adjust to the prescribed therapy pressure. Here’s a general explanation of how the Ramp feature typically works on CPAP machines:
- Start at Lower Pressure: When activated, the Ramp feature initiates therapy at a lower pressure. This lower pressure is more comfortable for users, especially when they are trying to fall asleep.
- Gradual Pressure Increase: The machine will slowly increase the pressure over a specified period of time until it reaches the prescribed level. This gradual increase gives users time to acclimatise to the airflow and pressure. The feature improves the overall experience and comfort of CPAP therapy.
- User-Adjustable: The duration of the ramp period and the starting pressure are adjustable. This allows users to customise the ramp feature based on their preferences and comfort level.
How to clean your Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle
To begin your CPAP cleaning routine, you should first take apart the mask. Remove your water chamber, heated tube and filters.
Here are our tips:
- Clean your water chamber daily with warm water and mild detergent (dishwashing soap).
- Clean the heated tube regularly with warm, soapy water and mild detergent. This will prevent bacteria growth and keep your air pressure healthy. Please note: You should keep the electrical end of your tube out of the water.
- Replace your filters every 3 months or sooner, depending on their condition.
How do I use the F&P SleepStyle app?
You can pair your SleepStyle CPAP Machine with the SleepStyle App via BlueTooth. The App allows you to view your usage data and troubleshoot any problems. To do this, please view your machine’s user guide or follow the guidance video below.
