If you choose not to personalise your settings, you can use your new device as soon as you receive it. The easy-to-access comfort settings and simplified navigation make finding what’s best for you easy.
Humidification – the Philips DreamStation 2 features an integrated humidifier for enhanced therapy. You can enjoy warm airflow, helping to prevent a dry mouth, throat and nose at no additional cost. As the humidifier is integrated into the device, it is easy to travel with your machine. You can easily slide the humidifier out of your machine to fill it with water, and the chamber is dishwasher-safe! The machine can also be paired with the ultra-slim heated tube, which is part of this bundle. More details on the heated tube can be found below.
Ramp Plus – To help you fall asleep with ease, the Ramp Plus feature gradually increases pressure. You can choose what pressure you’d like the ramp to start from, giving you more personalised therapy. Alternatively, you can let the device automatically choose your ramp setting. The ramp function will increase your pressure if an apnoea event is detected.
Bluetooth pairing for DreamMapper – The device is compatible with the DreamMapper application, which provides coaching and support for your therapy. Although DreamMapper is available online, the automatic Bluetooth pairing lets you connect to the app version on your smartphone. DreamMapper allows you to adjust comfort settings, easily access your sleep data, and troubleshoot through the performance check.
Coloured touchscreen – You can easily navigate your settings with a swipe of your finger using the coloured touchscreen. The screen clearly displays your therapy data summary, including your usage hours, AHI and mask fit check. You will also find your humidity settings and FLEX (exhalation relief) settings.
Lightweight & compact design – The compact DreamStation 2 is 29% smaller and 2.5% lighter than the original DreamStation with a humidifier unit.
Cellular modem: Your therapy data is easily transmitted to your healthcare provider for compliance follow-up and reporting without an SD card.
DreamStation 6ft Heated 15mm Tube
The DreamStation Heated Tube pairs with the DreamStation Humidifier to maintain a consistent temperature and pressure throughout therapy.
The purpose of the specially designed heated tubing is to prevent the build-up of condensation, also referred to as rainout, whilst keeping the air travelling through the tube at a consistent temperature. The heated tubing can be set to five different temperature settings, with 0 being off and 5 being the warmest temperature setting. If you decide that you do not want the tube to heat but still want to use it as a standard connector tube, then the tube can be set to 0, which means that heat from the tube is disabled.
It is designed for the DreamStation and DreamStation 2 machines only and will not work with any other machines, including alternative models from Philips. DreamStation Heated Tube

Recommended replacement schedule for DreamStation 2 CPAP supplies
- Reusable Filters: Every six months (or as needed)
- Disposable Filters: Every 30 days
- Tubing: Every three to six months (or as needed)
- Water Chamber: Every three to six months (or as needed)
Important Information: This is an ‘automatic’ CPAP machine, which automatically adjusts the pressure for the user. If needed we can set it with specific pressure settings. Written confirmation of Sleep Apnoea is needed to purchase this machine. If you do not have this you can take our Rapid Home Sleep Test to get that within just a few days.

How do I clean my Philips DreamStation 2 CPAP machine?
To keep your CPAP supplies in good condition, they need to be cleaned regularly; here are some tips:
- Clean your humidifier water tank daily with warm water and mild detergent. You can also clean the water chamber in a dishwasher!
- Your heated tubing should be cleaned regularly with warm water and mild detergent. Keep the electrical end of your tube out of the water. For standard tubing, follow the same process.
- Your grey reusable filters should be cleaned every two weeks and replaced every six months.
- Your blue disposable filters should not be cleaned but replaced every 30 nights.
How do I stop rainout on my CPAP machine?
Rainout occurs when the heated airflow from your humidifier cools as it travels through the tubing, leading to condensation buildup. This often happens when a humidifier is combined with an unheated tube. As the air flows through the unheated tube, it condenses and creates water droplets in the tube that run through your mask. This condensation buildup within your tube and mask can cause discomfort, mask leaks, and disrupt sleep.
One way to avoid rainout is to use a hose fleece or heated tube to insulate your tubing and keep the temperature consistent as it travels from your humidifier to your mask. This bundle includes heated tubing that is compatible with the DreamStation 2. Another way to provide more insulation to your tube is by covering it with a blanket.
How often to replace filters on DreamStation 2?
Your machine will come with one blue disposable filter. If you choose to, you can purchase an additional grey reusable filter, which provides an extra filtration level.
The grey reusable filter should be cleaned every two weeks and replaced every six months. Your blue disposable filter should not be cleaned but replaced every 30 nights.
Can you run DreamStation 2 without a humidifier?
You can choose not to use the humidification on your DreamStation 2 CPAP machine by turning it off in the settings, use the User Guide to help you with this.
What is the difference between DreamStation 1 and 2?
One of the main differences between the original DreamStation and the DreamStation 2 is the integrated humidification. With the newer machine, you no longer need to purchase the optional humidification. The DreamStation 2 includes a humidifier, increasing comfort.
Please note: You do not have to use the humidifier, but it helps to prevent many common CPAP therapy discomforts.
