ResMed AirSense 11 Auto CPAP Machine

The AirSense 11 Auto CPAP machine is the newest generation of the popular ResMed AirSense series. The premium AirSense 11 features enhanced digital health technology and an AutoRamp feature to increase comfort and maximise your therapy success.

The sleek and compact design makes using and travelling with your machine more manageable. Therapy is simple for everyone with the user-friendly start-stop function and easy navigation via the smart touch screen. Simply plug in your device and press start. It’s that simple.

AirSense 11 Features & Benefits

Two Auto Algorithms: The improved machine gives you options with two built-in modes, AutoSet and AutoSet for her (an algorithm specifically designed for women). Both options are now built into one device and easily managed in the settings. The proven algorithm for her allows for gentler pressure increases; this mode accounts for the differences in how Obstructive Sleep Apnoea presents in women for more targeted Sleep Apnoea therapy.

Smart Touch Screen: For those familiar with the AirSense series, the AirSense 11 is similar to the previous AirSense 10. However, the newer machine features a larger touch screen with automatic dimming lights, helping to avoid bright light disruptions when sleeping.

Auto Ramp: The ramp begins your CPAP pressure at a lower level and increases the pressure once you fall asleep to make it more comfortable. This is a great feature for new CPAP users adjusting to their treatment.

Advanced Event Detection: The device can tell the difference between Obstructive Sleep Apnoea events and central apnoea events. This helps to provide a clear picture of your CPAP therapy data for tracking and management.

Large Start/Stop Button: Turn your therapy on and off easily with the large button.

Smart-Start: When you put your mask on and start breathing, the device will turn on automatically and begin therapy.

Optional HumidAir Humidification

The device easily connects to the AirSense 11 HumidAir Humidifier and AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir Heated Tube, which stops dryness, congestion and other discomfort caused by cold airflow. Please note these optional add-ons are only compatible with the AirSense 11.

HumidAir Humidifier: The optional humidifier warms and adds moisture to the airflow to enhance your CPAP therapy. Cleaning your humidifier chamber is easy, as the machine features a removable water tub, making it simple to clean.

ClimateLineAir Tubing: This model includes a standard universal hose. However, if you use this machine’s compatible HumidAir Humidifier, you can purchase the ClimateLineAir Heated Tube for improved humidification. The heated hose stops water build-up within the tube and prevents the airflow from cooling down as it travels.

What's the difference between the AirSense 10 and the AirSense 11?

ResMed has taken the best features of the Airsense 10 and improved them. The newer model is lighter and sleeker, which makes travelling simpler.

With a software update and an upgraded colour touch screen, the new generation AirSense 11 consumes less power than the AirSense 10. Rather than running off a 90-watt unit, the AirSense 11 is more energy efficient and runs on 65-watt.

Previously, in the AirSense 10, there were two separate algorithm machines. The ‘for her’ feature is built into one AirSense 11 device.

Can I use my ResMed AirSense 11 without a humidifier?

Yes, you can choose not to use a humidifier with the AirSense 11.

If you have the HumidAir water chamber attached to your device and do not want to use it, simply go to your settings, find my options, and turn off your humidifier. You can remove your water chamber and replace it with a side cover.

Does the AirSense 11 turn off automatically?

No, it does not turn off automatically. However, the new touch screen of the AirSense 11 is designed with built-in light sensors. When the light in the room is turned off the screen automatically dims and turns off too, preventing sleep disruption from the screen’s light.

How loud is the ResMed AirSense 11?

The AirSense 11 CPAP has a sound pressure level of 27 decibels, making it a quiet device. ResMed created the device with an EasyBreathe motor to make a peaceful environment for the patient and their bed partner;

What does the snowflake mean on AirSense 11?

If a snowflake icon appears on your AirSense 11 screen, it means your humidifier is cooling down.

What is pressure relief on AirSense 11?

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) maintains regular airflow pressure while you inhale and reduced pressure when exhaling to make it more comfortable.

How often do you change the filter in ResMed AirSense 11?

Disposable filters must be replaced every thirty days; reusable filters can be replaced every three months. (or as needed if there is a noticeable build-up)

You can remove your air filter from the back of the device and pull down on the tab releasing the filter.

Will the ClimateLine tubing from the S9 or S10 work with the new AirSense 11?

No, the AirSense 10 or S9 heated tube will not work with the AirSense 11 as they have a different connection port. The ClimateLineAir Heated Tube for AirSense 11 is the only heated tube compatible with the ResMed AirSense 11 machine.

Am I allowed to bring my AirSense 11 on a plane?

Yes, it is FAA-approved.

As CPAP is medical equipment, it does not count in your airline carry-on limit. Please ensure that your machine is set to aeroplane mode and that you don’t fill your water chamber before the flight to prevent leaks and machine damage.

How to clean your AirSense 11 CPAP machine

To keep your CPAP supplies in good condition, they must be cleaned regularly by unplugging and disassembling your parts.

  • Clean your humidifier water tank and tubing daily with warm water and mild detergent. You can clean the inside of your tubing with a small brush to remove bacteria and hang it to dry over a shower rail.
  • Your reusable filters should be cleaned every two weeks and replaced every six months.
