Philips Respironics DreamStation Pro

The Philips Pro machine is small and lightweight. The sleek and compact size allows you to travel more easily with your CPAP machine, so you don’t need an alternative travel device.

Tracking your CPAP therapy has never been easier.

The device provides various ways for patients to view their sleep data to help their therapy run smoothly (your sleep data can even be downloaded from the included SD card). However, the full-colour display also means you can access the essential statistics on the machine itself. Thirdly, if you have a compatible iOS or Android smart device (not included), you can use the DreamMapper App to view more in-depth statistics and data graphs. Alternatively, you can access DreamMapper via the DreamMapper website.

It is undoubtedly the most comprehensive, focus-focussed data reporting feature set we’ve seen in a CPAP machine to date. If the DreamMapper App is of interest, we recommend checking compatibility with your device before purchasing.

Important: The DreamMapper App is not available in every country. In Europe, it is currently available in the UK, Ireland, France and Germany at the time of writing. If you live outside of these countries, it may not be available to download, though you can still return your SD card to us for analysis instead. Note: Philips are working on rolling the App out to additional countries, so please see if your country is listed on the drop-down box on this page to see if it has been made available for your country.

Never forget to change your filters.

Modern CPAP machine requires no maintenance other than regular changing of the filters. Many patients do not realise how important this is; clogged filters can reduce the machine’s performance, and over time the filters will start to disintegrate. Therefore, it is essential to keep on top of this as directed, and the device now has automatic reminders when each filter approaches the end of its lifespan.

Exhalation relief for enhanced comfort.

Philips pioneered exhalation relief technology, which sees the machine lower the pressure it provides slightly when the patient is breathing out—allowing the patient to exhale against less pressure, making it easier and more comfortable. Phillips has further refined their A-Flex functionality (their name for exhalation relief) to make the transitions between inhalation and exhalation smoother and more natural than ever before.

Optimised humidification temperatures.

Like most CPAP machines, the machine can be coupled with a humidifier if desired. The Heated Humidifier is available separately and has various temperature settings that you can adjust to suit. However, it also features an adaptive mode, which monitors the ambient humidity of the room and adjusts the temperature of the water accordingly. No guesswork or trial and error is required – you can rest knowing that you should be getting the right level of humidification regardless. The Heated Humidifier slots neatly onto the main unit and shares the same power supply, so there’s no need for a second wall socket. If you are unsure if you need a humidifier or not, then you can read our guide here. If you wish to purchase the DreamStation Heated Humidifier, you can add it to your order here.

Important Information: This is a ‘fixed pressure’ CPAP machine, which, as the name suggests, operates at a specific pressure for the user. Before Intus can send it to you, we will need to set the machine’s pressure to suit you. If you know your CPAP pressure setting (normally, a sleep clinic or your Doctor would tell you your setting if you have one), please send written confirmation to us. If you do not know your pressure, your best option is to buy an Auto-CPAP instead. Any questions – please call us on 0800 024 8050.
