DreamStation Go – portability with performance

The DreamStation Go is the first dedicated travel machine from Philips Resprionics. It allows you to seemelessly continue your CPAP therapy without any compromises to your comfort or compliance reporting. This is because it uses the exact same software and algorithms as the regular DreamStation – and syncs to your existing DreamMapper accounts through the built-in Bluetooth.

The DreamStation Go weighs under just 0.8kg, and is 15x15x6cm in size. As well as being half the size and weight of the standard DreamStation, is also has a built-in power supply – so there’s no power brick to carry along with it.

Cross-device connectivity

Patients using DreamStation Go with other devices compatible with the DreamMapper self-management tool can now view their combined progress in one consolidated, printable dashboard to view complete therapy results. The built-in Bluetooth connection pairs with your DreamMapper-installed smart device to allow you to keep track of therapy easily, keeping a continuous record across all of your DreamMapper-compatible CPAP devices. If you do not have a compatible smart device, you can instead insert a MicroSD card (not included) which can instead be used to transfer data to a computer and connect to the DreamMapper website instead.

Trusted technology

DreamStation Go includes the same clinically-proven Flex pressure-relief technologies, therapy algorithms and event detection found in our DreamStation and System One PAP therapy devices. The therapy performance and features are identical to the conventional DreamStation.

Packable performance

With its slim profile, compact footprint and revolutionary micro-flexible tubing, DreamStation Go offers high performance PAP therapy in a device that easily stows in existing baggage. It’s designed to facilitate easy airport screening and offers discretion while traveling, and has FAA approval for in-flight use (with prior permission of your airline).

Easy to use

Intuitive colour touchscreen offers quick, simple setup and easy navigation via familiar swipe and tap gestures. No complicated button combinations, mobile app or computer software required.

Micro-flexible tubing

The unique tubing provided with the DreamStation Go is just 12mm in diameter; regular tubing is 19mm and even slimline is 15mm. This makes the tubing far easier to pack and transport, taking up less space. The connection size is still the standard 22mm though, so you can use your existing tubing with the DreamStation Go if preferred – the choice is yours.

Portable power

With its optional integrated overnight battery (not included), DreamStation Go offers patients protection from power interruption and the freedom to sleep off the grid. The optional battery holds enough charge to run the DreamStation Go for approximately 13 hours at a pressure of 10cmH2O. Please note the battery is not included as standard (because not everybody requires this) but can be purchased at the same time – click here to find it. Plus, you save £50 when buying a battery at the same time as the DreamStation Go itself. Add both to your basket and the discount will be applied automatically.

Universal mask compatibility

The DreamStation Go uses the universal 22mm mask connection, allowing you to use it with any CPAP mask of your choosing – including your existing mask.

Built-in USB port for mobile phone charging

Power sockets in hotel rooms are often at a premium – so Philips have built a USB charging port for your mobile phone or tablet into the DreamStation Go. That means you can have the DreamStation plugged into the wall and your phone charging from the DreamStation Go. You can even charge your phone if you are using the DreamStation Go battery, though this may fractionally reduce the running time.

What’s the catch?

All of this begs the question – isn’t it a no-brainer to choose the DreamStation Go over the regular model? Well, no – not quite! There are some compromises, particularly with noise. All travel machines have to sacrifice some sound insulation to get the size and weight down. As the Go is half the size of the regular DreamStation, this is unsurprisingly the main area of compromise. The DreamStation Go is still very quiet – under 30db – however it can’t quite match up to the regular DreamStation.

What’s included?

DreamStation Go Auto CPAP
6 foot long 12mm Micro-Flex tube
Power Cord (6′ long)
Reusable Filter

Please note! This machine does NOT come with a carry case. The reason for this is that is that there are two cases available; one of the DreamStation Go alone, and one for the Go along with it’s optional battery pack – so you can choose the correct one dependent on your requirements. Add a case to your order here.

Important Information: This is an ‘automatic’ CPAP machine, which as the name suggests, automatically adjusts the pressure for the user, although it can also be set with specific pressure settings if required. 5 reviews for DreamStation Go Auto Travel CPAP Machine

    John Sleptwell

Great Machine. I was diagnosed with Osas in August of 2018. And was presented with the Phillips Resperonics dream-station machine as a therapy. That machine is good but bulky and presented with a “travelbag” that is the size of a normal carry-on luggage. I am a dutch national working for an international company and I my home office is in London. I commute every week and often need to go to other locations in Europe during the week. So the “travelbag” presented something of an issue. I have tried carrying it around in my normal business travel back pack (without the humidifier) but it still is bulky and the adapter is a huge monster resembling a brick. The machine is ok in the home but a horror for travel.

I have managed my Osas quite well with the machine so far. My boss kindly agreed to fund the Travel Go machine when I explained the issue. In Holland the insurance will just refuse and I was considering buying the travel machine myself. So that was good news. I ordered the machine at Intus in the UK since the machine is half the price in the UK compared to Holland, roughly 1500 euro in Holland. This strange as Philips is originally a dutch company. The service of Intus was great, I got to speak to a really helpful person on the phone and the machine was delivered to my doorstep in Holland in three days. Thank you for that Intus.

I have now been using the Travel Go for two weeks and am very pleased with it. It is not at all noisy (no more then the big one). It is small fits into my hand luggage and with the nice travel kit it can be packed well into my standard travel bag, including the nice sleeve for the tubing. You need to get the sleeve separate with a 10 pound discount if bought in the same order.

The tubing supplied with the go is absolutely better that the rigid big thing you get with the dreamstation. I was often struggling with the tubing and it would rip my mask off in the middle of the night because of it’s inflexibility. The tubing of the Go machine is so flexible that you hardly notice it and moves with you easily, improving the comfort considerably. I have now moved over to the Go completely and my wife says I sleep even better now. I see that I now manage nights of 6 to 7 hours every night with the machine and I don’t notice the tubes or mask. In weekends I easily get up to 8 hours. I used to be happy to make 4 hours and then sleep without for the rest of the night.

So my advise is try and get this travel machine if you can it is less bulky, will leave some space for a book on your bedside table. The tubing is so much better that it makes a real difference in the experience. Your therapy will benefit from this machine. It is just a much better machine to my mind.

I used to use the humidifier on the first machine. But soon trained myself to do without, so I could travel without the humidifier. The Travel Go does not have a humidifier so if you are dependent on that it may be a problem. I never noticed too much difference in using the original machine with or without. So the transfer was really easy.

So good work Philips great machine but make it cheaper so all OSAS patients can benefit. It is bad enough to have this diagnosis. So maybe put aside your greed in making money over the backs of people that suffer and give it to us at a reasonable price. There is obviously room to move if you compare Holland and the UK.

Satisfied. After getting used to a Nose pillow on my face all night, and the wife not kicking me in my back.. My family and I are very happy. The Machine is simple, quiet and easy to carry. A bit pricey, but worth the cost so far.

Excellent. I bought this machine for travelling, as my standard Dreamstation machine (+humidifier) was very cumbersome to carry (heavy external power block etc). Well, this machine is very quiet and small, uses an incredibly light 12mm tube that connects to any mask, and a standard ‘figure of 8’ cable/plug to connect to the wall worldwide. I bought a couple of ’Figure of 8’ cables from Amazon with integrated plugs for the EU and USA to make travelling even easier. It has a very fine pollen/dust filter, and you could get an additional battery and a humidifier. I did not buy these and I have not missed them. You can connect both Dreamsation machines to the DreamMapper App vía Bluetooth (iPhone) to gather all data in one place. spare parts (filters and tubes are easily available and not expensive). If I were new to CPAP I would buy this machine only to use everyday at home/away.

Just Awesome!. Like so many I actually couldn’t be (and wouldn’t want to be) without an APAP machine at night. Since receiving my very overdue Severe OSA diagnosis in March 2015 (having suffered from it for many years previously as most have), I’ve been a very happy user of my NHS provided Respironics System One Auto. My only problem is that as I have for my entire career to date been a regular business traveller, the System One has been an utter pain. Clumpy to pack, both the machine and the incredibly irritating power brick (why do we still need these dinosaur items in 2018?!), as well as the 22mm tube etc. It constantly got me down, and for a long time I dreaded airports, something which play a large part in my life. I’d been after a travel solution for a while, which didn’t limit me to a fixed pressure machine (I’m not keen on them) and which didn’t trade size of the machine by still retaining the irritating power brick. Arise, therefore, Philips, for making the (in my humble opinion) finest APAP machine of them all, the Dreamstation Go. It could have been built just for me. It is sleek, attractive (well, compared to the System One a brick wall is attractive), light, feature packed, and doesn’t need a silly power brick! A clamshell case can be bought separately, and I’m glad I bought one as it makes throwing the Go into my carry-on roller bag a breeze. There is a pouch too for the fabulous 12mm tube (as flexible, sturdy and lightweight as you could ever wish for), my (ResMed) nasal mask and the (Brick-less) power cable, but it all fits better into my Eagle Creek 1/4 cube, so the pouch tends to be left back at home. It is quickly changing my travelling life, with the first trip this week an absolute breeze.

Now, the machine. I really wanted the Go to be my permanent APAP, to replace the System One on my bedside table, and also as I wanted to use the App. I was worried about making the transition, as I’d only known the System One before, and hoped I’d get on with the Go. I’d been a little concerned about the possible louder noise of the Go being a travel machine, and was worried about disturbing my wife, so all in all, it was with a few nerves that I placed my order. Thankfully, I worried for no reason. The Go duly arrived next day (well done Intus, an excellent service!). It is packed in an Apple-esque fashion, took about three minutes to set up, and IS BEAUTIFULLY QUIET! (well, comparing it to the System One in any case). There is a small amount of the usual white noise expected with APAP in the background, but it really is at a very low level. I took to the Go immediately, and recorded 08:20 hours on the first night, 08:30 on the second (both weekend nights before you think I’m lazy) and over 07:15 on each night subsequently. My wife has noticed absolutely no difference to the noise in our bedroom at all. The machine is so much easier to live with, and looks right at home on my bedside at home or at a hotel. The tube is fabulous. Light, flexible but (so far) strong, I’m also finding that much easier to live with. My quality of sleep has been fantastic. The DreamMapper App is great, produces reports with a few keystrokes, and concentrates on the most important aspects on the Sleep screen, particularly AHI for which I’ve been below 1.0 so far, so I’m really happy with that.

All in all, this is an outstanding product, and Philips should be proud. It is expensive, but for me, as a regular traveller, size and weight are everything. As I’m also getting the added value of every day use, my view is that this Dreamstation Go is very good value for money, and therefore is highly recommended by me at least.

Much easier for travelling. I fly quite a bit for work and was looking for an alternative to taking my main APAP. This is relatively pricey but I feel is worth it as I can fit it in my main cabin bag. I have used it several times, it is nosier than my main device but not so much it affects sleep. I found I slept pretty well and apnoeas were controlled ok.
